IMPACT Community Services are looking to employ an experienced, professional Employment Services Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day management of our Employment Services, Workforce Australia (WFA). This includes the delivery of services, management of staff and the effective development and management of budgets.

This qualified professional will embrace a high-quality customer service mantra, collaborating with a diverse range of people across the organisation and externally in a Not-for-Profit arena.

You will do this by:

  • Strategise with due consideration the requirements of the Workforce Australia and National Panel of Assessors contracts, the local market and the demonstrated needs of the team and customers
  • Participate and contribute to the organisation’s strategic planning activities
  • Communicate performance targets and monitor achievements effectively
  • Evaluate and analyse performance data and indicators in order to identify and understand trends
  • Monitor contract performance weekly and where necessary, work in cooperation with the General Manager and CoAct staff to implement strategies that result in performance and service improvements
  • Ensure that claims are made according to contractual requirements and evidence is factual, current and appropriate
  • Facilitate training and information provision so that staff are knowledgeable and fully equipped for service delivery
  • Attend Employment Services Provider meetings and other relevant community meetings e.g. Chamber of Commerce events
  • Support the Research & Innovation in regards to funding proposals, projects and promotion of the organisations services
  • Ensure that processes and strategies are in place to maximise internal billing opportunities from the Employment Pathway Fund, whilst simultaneously ensuring that a range of quality employment outcome-focused options are available to clients
  • Recruit, supervise and coordinate staff

What you need to be successful in this role:

Essential -

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Employment Services contracts
  • Program management skills including the ability to monitor performance and address non performance
  • Proven ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop strategies for delivering solutions  
  • Strong results orientation and a proven track record of delivering on time, on budget and to required standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight time frames
  • Working knowledge of financial processes and budgeting
  • Demonstrated experience in direct supervision of staff including motivating, guiding, supporting and addressing issues (as required)
  • Proven ability to work as a team player sharing knowledge, contributing proactively to achieving team goals and providing mentoring and guidance to less experienced staff 
  • High level interpersonal, communication, networking and negotiations skills
  • Computer skills covering the complete suite of Microsoft programmes
