Forklift and Truck Driver - Materials Recovery Facility

About the job

This Forklift & Truck Driver position is a full- time permanent role based at our materials recovery facility at University Drive, Bundaberg. Join our friendly team and:

  • Collect recyclable materials such as card, paper, bottles, cans and drums from customers around the Bundaberg region
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on the truck
  • Complete run sheets on a daily basis
  • Operate a forklift within the facility 
  • Perform some manual tasks to assist in the operation of the facility  
  • Follow WH&S processes to ensure your safety and the safety of others in the workplace

We are a social enterprise employing workers with a disability to sort waste from Council's yellow top bins. We make a real difference to the environment and to the lives of our workers.

About you

To enjoy this role, you need:

  • Recent experience as a HR truck driver with an active HR license
  • Recent experience as a forklift operator with a LF licence
  • Literacy and numeracy skills so you can accurately complete run sheets 
  • Your own transport and a current drivers' license
  • A willingness to participate in a Commercial Driver medical assessment 
  • A track record as a team player who assists team mates and completes manual tasks
