About the Position

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Forklift & Truck Driver to join our Recycling & Collections team at IMPACT Community Services. This role is integral to our mission of promoting sustainability and community well-being. As a Forklift & Truck Driver, you will be responsible for collecting recyclable materials, ensuring the safe operation of forklifts and trucks, including hooklift trucks. You will perform equipment inspections, maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

To make a difference in this role, you will have

  • Main Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Collect recyclable materials from customers in a timely manner.
    • Load and unload products as directed.
    • Record incoming and outgoing product quantities/weights.
    • Perform equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
    • Communicate effectively with customers to maintain positive relationships.
  • Core Competencies:
    • High Risk licence for operating forklifts.
    • Medium Rigid / Heavy Rigid (MR/HR) truck licence.
    • Proven experience operating forklifts and driving trucks safely.
    • Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
