About the Position

IMPACT Community Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a JOBHelp Mentor. This role is integral to our WORKFit program, where you will provide one-on-one, intensive support to job seekers aiming to gain and retain employment or pursue educational pathways. As a JOBHelp Mentor, you will work closely with clients who have successfully completed the JOBScan program, guiding them through the next steps in their employment journey. You will manage a caseload, offering practical advice, identifying barriers to employment, and helping clients develop strategies to overcome these challenges. This role also involves promoting the WORKFit - JOBHelp program to employment providers and the wider community, ensuring that those who need our services can easily access them.

To make a difference in this role, you will have

Proven experience in business engagement, community networking, and achieving client sign-ups to meet KPIs.

  • The ability to create tailored support plans in collaboration with clients and relevant stakeholders, ensuring each client can achieve their employment or training goals.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly, negotiate effectively, and resolve conflicts.
  • A genuine interest in mentoring, with relevant life experience or an understanding of the barriers to maintaining employment.
