About the Position

As a Mentor at IMPACT Community Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to employment. Working within the Workforce Australia program, your primary responsibility will be guiding customers to develop pre-employment skills through a holistic approach. This includes providing intensive case management, coordinating tailored activities, and offering vocational assistance to enhance employability. Your role also involves conducting workshops on resilience and employment readiness, collaborating with recruitment partners to identify participant needs, and maintaining frequent contact with customers via multiple communication channels. This is a rewarding, hands-on role based at the workplace, where your efforts will help individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals.

To make a difference in this role, you will have

  • Facilitation of small group sessions designed to increase pre-employment readiness and customer resilience.
  • Collaboration with Recruitment Partners to develop and implement tailored work preparation activities.
  • Ongoing support for customers as they engage in training or studies, ensuring sustainable course completion.
