About the roles

We have 2 casual roles at our Material Recovery Facility at University Drive. As part of a small team of Recycling and Collections Supervisors, you will:

  • Train, direct and supervise employees to sort recyclable products such as paper, cardboard, cans and glass
  • Complete daily start up checks on plant and machinery 
  • Maintain plant and equipment 
  • Coordinate Council truck loads and contractor truck loads
  • Record incoming product and outgoing product 
  • Ensure workplace health and safety standards and processes are observed and implemented

About you 

To be considered, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision of staff performing manual work 
  • A mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify maintenance issues
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet timeframes
  • Working knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements an industrial environment
  •  A forklift license 
  • The capacity to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions 

Previous experience in working with people with a disability will be well regarded.
