"STRONGER TOGETHER" is a weekly column where Tanya explores key issues. This week Tanya discusses how meaningful partnerships, shared values, and community connection have shaped IMPACT’s journey toward building healthier, more inclusive communities.

On Monday, IMPACT Community Services welcomed staff, partners, and community members to our annual celebration: a meaningful moment to honour a year shaped by the theme “Working together for healthier communities.”
The theme has served as a touchstone, reminding us that real progress happens when we work together, share knowledge, and stay connected to the needs of our community.
Healthy communities don’t emerge by chance. They grow through meaningful partnerships, shared values, and a deep understanding of local needs.
Since 1978, IMPACT has worked alongside local organisations, businesses, government, and community groups to deliver services that respond to real challenges and create lasting change.
From long-standing relationships that span decades to new collaborations just taking root, each partnership plays a vital role in creating inclusive, supportive communities where people can thrive.
Each relationship is grounded in trust, open communication, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
This means listening with intent, showing up consistently, and recognising the strengths each partner brings. It’s about co-designing solutions, embracing diversity, and ensuring everyone has a voice.
Over the past year, we’ve focused on nurturing these relationships through innovation, compassion, and a people-first mindset. Together, we’ve tackled challenges, created opportunities, and supported individuals and families across our region.
Monday’s celebration was a chance to reconnect, reflect and look ahead. It reminded us that when we work together, with compassion, purpose, and a shared vision, we build something stronger than any one organisation can achieve alone.
We’re proud of what we’ve built together, and excited for what’s next.
Here’s to continuing to build healthier, more inclusive communities, together.
