We’re currently developing this page to share clear information about the Bundaberg PALM Health Program. This program supports Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) participants in the region.

The program focuses on three key areas. First, it improves access to healthcare. Second, it supports wellbeing. Third, it strengthens disaster readiness. To achieve this, we work with local health services, employers, government, and community groups. As a result, we deliver practical and culturally appropriate support.

At the same time, we are listening to the community. Through this work, we have identified key priorities. These include:

• improving access to primary healthcare and health education
• strengthening wellbeing and mental health support
• reducing social isolation and building community connections
• improving disaster preparedness and resilience

In addition, local feedback highlights important gaps. For example, people need clear and simple information. They also need better coordination between services. Therefore, we are using this feedback to guide our work.
