The Support Worker role at IMPACT Community Services is integral to the Positive Start Parenting Program. You will be assisting the Team Leader in delivering early intervention and prevention services aimed at enhancing child and family development and wellbeing. This position involves working directly with children, young people, and their families to strengthen relationships, improve family functioning, and increase participation in community life.

To Make a Difference in This Role, You Will Have

  • Relevant life experience or demonstrated understanding of strength-based approaches when working with families.
  • Effective parenting and behaviour management techniques.
  • Knowledge of child development and protection issues, or willingness to undertake necessary training.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
