Knowing how to respond quickly and safely in the event of a fire can help protect people, property, and your workplace. Our Fire Extinguisher Training provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills to identify common classes of fire, select the appropriate extinguisher, and safely use portable fire-fighting equipment in an emergency.
Participants will gain an understanding of fire behaviour, emergency response procedures, and the limitations of portable fire equipment. Practical activities provide an opportunity to develop confidence in responding to small, containable fires while maintaining personal safety and following workplace emergency procedures.
This non-accredited course is suitable for employees, workplace emergency personnel, and anyone who may be required to use portable fire equipment as part of their role.
There are no formal prerequisites for this course.
Participants should have sufficient language and communication skills to understand safety instructions and actively participate in practical training activities.
As this course includes the practical use of portable fire extinguishers and emergency response activities, participants should be physically capable of safely handling the equipment and following instructions in a simulated emergency environment.
If you have any concerns about the practical requirements of the course, please contact our team prior to enrolling. We are happy to discuss the course requirements and any support options that may be available.
