Keep your CPR skills current and gain the confidence to respond in a life-threatening emergency with HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). This nationally recognised course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform CPR in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Suitable for workplace requirements, volunteers, parents, carers, sporting groups, and community members, this course focuses on the actions required when responding to a person who is unconscious and not breathing normally.
Participants will learn through practical, hands-on training and realistic scenarios designed to build confidence in responding to emergencies. Flexible training options are available, allowing learners to complete the knowledge component online prior to attending a face-to-face practical assessment session or complete all training and assessment on the day.
Regular CPR refresher training helps ensure your skills remain current and that you can act quickly and effectively when every second counts.
You will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to receive your Statement of Attainment. To ensure there are no delays, please submit your USI at enrolment. Need a USI? You can get a USI here.
To successfully complete the course, participants must demonstrate the skills required by the training package, including performing CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor for a minimum of 2 minutes and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
