About the job

This is a casual job based at our Recycling & Collections facility at University Drive, Bundaberg. On a daily basis you will:

  • Collect recyclable materials such as card, paper, bottles, cans and drums from customers around the Bundaberg region
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on the truck
  • Complete run sheets on a daily basis
  • Perform manual tasks within the Recycling & Collections faclity as required
  • Follow WH&S processes to ensure your safety and the safety of others in the workplace

The Recycling & Collections facility is a social enterprise employing workers with a disability to sort waste from Council's yellow top bins. We make a real difference to the environment and to the lives of our workers. 

About the offer

This casual role provides:

  • Salary packaging up to $18,500 per year

About you:

To be considered for this casual role of $25 - $30 per hour, plus superannuation, you must have:

  • Recent experience as a HR truck driver with an active HR licence
  • Literacy and numeracy skills so you can accurately complete run sheets on a daily basis
  • Your own transport and a current drivers' licence
  • A level of fitness and manual handling skills
  • A willingness to perform manual tasks and assist team mates
