Train face-to-face with industry professionals at IMPACT Community Services and enhance your existing community services or health qualifications with specialised skills in positive behaviour support.
Designed for individuals who already hold a Certificate III qualification or higher in Community Services, Health or a related field, this short course provides specialised knowledge and practical strategies for supporting people with disability who require positive behaviour support, helping workers promote safety, dignity and quality of life.
Throughout this skill set, you'll develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to provide person-centred support to people with disability in community and residential settings. You'll learn how to support independence, encourage community participation and social inclusion, and use strengths-based approaches to help individuals achieve their goals.
Training also focuses on effective communication, working within the disability sector, and implementing behaviour support strategies that promote dignity, choice and quality of life. Through practical learning and vocational placement, you'll gain hands-on experience and apply your skills in real workplace environments.
