Subsidised Training & Co-Contribution Fees

Skills Assure logo with orange check mark and grey typography, plus the caption that it's a Queensland Government subsidised training provider.

IMPACT Community Services is a Skills Assure Supplier (SAS), delivering subsidised training on behalf of the Queensland Government.

In short

  • Training is subsidised by the Queensland Government
  • Eligibility criteria apply and are confirmed at enrolment
  • A co-contribution fee is required for most programs
  • Fees vary depending on the funding stream
  • Payment plans are available

Eligibility for Queensland Government funding is assessed through the enrolment. Funding availability, student eligibility and co-contribution fees may change without notice.

If you're enrolling in a government-subsidised course, you're required to pay a co-contribution fee toward your training. The amount depends on your funding stream. Please refer to the relevant section below for more details.

Find out more about Queensland Government funding options here.

  • Career Start – General Training Pathway
  • Career Start – Traineeship Pathway
  • Career Boost

Your course is supported by the Queensland Government, which means most of the cost is covered. You’ll only need to pay a co-contribution fee. This fee can be paid by you, your employer, a family member, a friend, or another organisation. In some cases (such as Skilling Queenslanders for Work programs), the co-contribution fee may be covered under specific funding arrangement. However, IMPACT Community Services is not able to pay or waive this fee.

Co-contribution fees per unit:

  • Non-Concessional: $5 per unit
  • Concessional: $3 per unit

Fees are charged per unit of competency. If you’re eligible for a credit transfer or gap training for a unit, you won’t be charged for that unit, and your total fee will be reduced.

The table below shows unit fees and estimated total co-contribution fees based on full course completion.

Additional requirements for vocational placement

  • A Police Check
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate

Under Queensland’s “No Card, No Start” policy, you must apply for and receive these before starting vocational placement. While Blue Cards and NDIS Worker Screening Cards are free for students, the cost for your National Police Check is included. First Aid/CPR training is available at IMPACT.

IMPACT Community Services will support you through the application process for your Blue Card and/or Disability Worker Screening.
