About the opportunity

We are looking for a full-time In-Work Support to join our Workforce Australia Program located in Rockhampton. The focus of this role is to provide ongoing support to clients and employers to ensure sustainable employment and outcomes are realised.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Develop and implement tailored strategies with clients and employers to support sustainable employment outcomes and improve job retention.
  • Build strong relationships with employers to identify workforce needs and create future employment opportunities.
  • Support clients to overcome barriers to employment through practical interventions, workplace support, and ongoing engagement.
  • Collaborate with employers to plan and develop their workforce, enhancing staff capability, productivity, and retention.
  • Monitor employment outcomes and provide proactive support to clients and employers to maintain successful and long-term employment placements.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Employment Services, Customer Service, Community Services, or a related field, with Employment Services experience highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong employer relationships, identifying and engaging key decision makers.
  • Highly developed negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and adapt to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and accountability.
