Partnering for Impact: How the Grace Fund Helps IMPACT Community Services Improve Lives
At IMPACT Community Services, we are proud to partner with organisations that share our mission of Improving Lives across the Bundaberg region and beyond. One of our most valued supporters is the St John’s Grace Fund (Grace Fund)—a key contributor to our community programs and services.
Established in 2011 by St John’s Lutheran Church, the Grace Fund was created using proceeds from the former Gracehaven Nursing Home. Its mission is to support local charities that provide services in:
Over the past decade, the Grace Fund has donated nearly $2 million to local charitable organisations, including IMPACT Community Services.
Thanks to the Grace Fund’s ongoing support, we’ve been able to launch and sustain several innovative and meaningful initiatives:
Raising awareness and educating the community about bystander behaviour—especially in cases of sexual abuse—and empowering individuals to speak up in support of survivors.
Connecting survivors with expert voices and community leaders to explore solutions and raise awareness about domestic and family violence.
Enhancing our aged care training by allowing students to experience the physical challenges of aging through a wearable simulation suit.
With the Grace Fund’s help, we employed a professional Choir Master for 12 months, enriching the lives of our NDIS participants through music and connection.
The Grace Fund funded furniture and AV equipment for our youth-focused innovation space, fostering creativity, entrepreneurship, and digital skills in a safe and inclusive environment.
