Youth Skills (Xtreme Turnabout)

Youth Skills offers customised training to support young people aged 15–24 years who are engaged with, or at risk of engaging with, Youth Justice Services or Queensland Corrective Services to gain nationally recognised skills and vocational qualifications up to and including a certificate III level.

No pressure, no must do’s, no obligations or requirements, just lots of help and support!

The program focuses on stabilising the young person’s situation and supporting their transition to training and work, while maintaining an ongoing commitment to judicial service orders. At IMPACT Community Services, this program offers a creative and dynamic approach to intervention, including:

  • Xtreme activity days
  • Learner-driver training
  • Job search assistance
  • Life skills development

Our Youth Worker will discuss a range of training options including:

  • Hospitality skills
  • Foundation skills
  • Bar skills
  • Construction skills

We offer personalised case management and tailored training to gain a nationally-recognised qualification, followed by post-participation support.

This Skilling Queenslanders for Work project is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government.
