Support Worker - Hervey Bay

We are seeking a Support Worker for our Family Mental Health Support Service. Our team provides early intervention and support to assist children and young people with, or at risk of developing, mental health concerns. Enjoy working from an office with sea views.

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Deliver flexible, responsive, non-clinical services for children and young people
  • Provide one-on-one support and lead group activities to support tangible improvements in the day-to-day life of children and young people 
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes and data
  • Create partnerships in the local community to promote awareness of mental health issues and early intervention

To enjoy this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working with young people who have mental health concerns OR relevant life experience and/or understanding of the issues facing children and young people with mental health concerns
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create rapport with young people and families
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to engage in community networking and provide referrals
