About the opportunity
We are seeking a full-time Business Development Specialist for our Workforce Australia program based in the Fraser Coast. The focus of this role is to liaise with local businesses to identify suitable roles for our Workforce Australia clients. This role involves taking a proactive approach to contacting and building relationships with employers in the community to fully understand their recruitment needs.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Match vacancies to clients' skillsets and strengths through facilitating resilience workshops
- Collaborate with Mentors to identify specific needs from both the employers and clients
- Conduct group pre-employment readiness sessions designed to increase a client's level of readiness for employment
- Recruit for employers' vacant roles and match clients to these open roles
- Record information in the organisations database/systems in a timely manner
- Achieve monthly KPI's, discuss and implement agreed professional development reviews
- Contribute to regular team meetings that identify work priorities and areas for improvement
What you’ll bring
- Qualifications in relevant fields of Employment or Community Services would be desirable.
- Relevant life experience and/or demonstrated understanding of the barriers to education/employment experienced by clients on Income Support
- Ability to set priorities and to achieve outcomes in a performance driven environment
- Demonstrate experience in assisting clients to overcome obstacles to secure employment
- Have solid knowledge of the local labour market
- Ability to work collaboratively with community service providers, community networks and employment services to achieve a successful outcome for the client
- Secure connections with internal and external stakeholders
