Workplace Health & Safety Manager - Bundaberg

We are seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Manager to partner with leaders and teams to provide healthy and safe workplaces for our staff across the Wide Bay, Fraser Coast and Discovery Coast regions.

About the role

This is a leadership role suited to an experienced WH&S Manager who can operate strategically and operationally. You will lead the development and continuous improvement of safety processes and systems through working alongside leaders and teams. On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Promote a positive safety culture and employee wellbeing outcomes
  • Provide expert advice and support to leaders and teams to embed safe work practices in their day-to-day work and operations
  • Manage rehabilitation and return-to-work processes and WorkCover obligations
  • Support IMPACT to maintain compliance with WHS legislation, regulations, standards, and Codes of Practice
  • Collaborate with leaders and provide advice and support in terms of risk management
  • Lead the WH&S team, manage WH&S plans and projects

About you

You are an experienced WHS leader with an ability to influence and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to drive safety outcomes. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and are passionate about building safe and healthy workplaces.

What you’ll bring

  • Certificate IV or above in Work Health & Safety
  • Fire Safety Advisor certification
  • Significant experience in partnering with leaders and teams to maintain and improve safety in their work environments
  • A track record in driving a safety culture across multiple locations, including high risk environments
  • Demonstrated experience as a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator
  • Excellent communication skills including report writing
