IMPACT Community Services is proud to announce it has been named on Diversity Council Australia (DCA)'s annual list of Inclusive Employers for 2024-2025. This acknowledgement highlights IMPACT’s commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and supported.
The Inclusive Employer Index is an annual survey developed by DCA in partnership with Diversity Atlas to measure employee diversity and inclusion experiences in the workplace. Participating in the Index enabled IMPACT to evaluate the current state of inclusion in our workforce and compare it to the Australian Workforce and DCA member benchmarks. This data empowers us to show our commitment to inclusion, reflect on our achievements and identify ways to do even better.
To be named on the Inclusive Employers list, organisations must exceed the National Index Benchmark across at least five out of key areas: awareness, engagement, inclusive organisational climate, inclusive leadership, inclusive team, and exclusion.
IMPACT Managing Director, Tanya O’Shea said IMPACT is deeply honoured to be recognised by Diversity Council Australia as a 2024-2025 Inclusive Employer.

DCA announced its 2024-2025 Inclusive Employers list today to mark the beginning of Inclusion at Work Week. Over the past year, IMPACT Community Services is proud to have developed an authentic Acknowledgement of Country, reflective of the diverse lands on which we operate with a view to fostering greater awareness and appreciation of Indigenous culture.
This initiative, led by Jannene Thorn, Manager Mental Health and Support Services, in collaboration with a working group and Gureng Gureng descendant Robert McLellan, ensures our Acknowledgement authentically represents Indigenous voices and fosters greater awareness and appreciation of Indigenous culture.
Other activities we do to foster inclusivity include an in-house diversity champion, regular Diversity and Inclusion Council staff meetings, and a focus on diversity in leadership sessions.

Expressions of Interest for the next Inclusive Employer Index (2025-2026) will open from March to mid-July, with participant organisations able to conduct the survey from July through 30 September, after which they gain access to a dashboard displaying their results.
