IMPACT Community Services was successful in winning three contracts under the Container Refund Scheme (CRS) – refund point, processor and logistics contracts.
The scheme has required some significant changes to processes and infrastructure, and has resulted in the creation of a number of new jobs.
If you are interested in cashing in your eligible containers, the process is simple – register online for a Containers for Change scheme account. This allows your refunds to be paid directly into you bank account. Then drop off your containers in a secured bag with a tag, including your name, scheme ID and phone number at the CRS shed (beside the Material Recovery Facility on University Drive).
If you are happy to just continue to put containers in your yellow top bins – that works for us as well as it will continue to be sorted by IMPACT’s workers. Either way, the key message is that we all need to continue to recycle.
The Containers for Change Qld app is packed with special features?access your scheme ID and transaction history, scan containers to check eligibility, check our opening hours and more!
