Sarah the Skip Truck Operator turned woodworking wonder

Sarah Sturrock is a well-known face at IMPACT Community Services’ Material Recycling Facility and knows a thing or two about skip trucks and recycling. But lately Sarah has been working with a different kind of material – timber. One of IMPACT’s most successful NDIS programs, Rob’s Shed, teaches participants how to safely and effectively use power tools and materials to construct a range of different items.

Stronger Together: Recycling towards a future beyond the bin

Last week was Planet Ark’s 25th annual National Recycling Week. Recycling is something that is close to our hearts at IMPACT, and it’s important we continue the conversation to help not only our environment, but future generations who will be affected by our efforts in this space.
This year’s theme, “Recovery – A future beyond the bin”, encourages Australians to stop and think before their items reach the trash can.

Look after the environment and go into draw for $50 voucher

IMPACT Community Services is encouraging Bundaberg residents to recycle their containers to go into the monthly draw to win a $50 gift voucher. In these tough times, where you have to work hard to earn every dollar, why wouldn’t you do the right thing by the environment and pick up 10 cents for every container you drop at our Container Refund Point at 78 University Drive.

IMPACT announces new Board Chair and director roles at AGM

Leanne Rudd has replaced David Batt as Board Chair at IMPACT Community Services.
David resigned from the position of Chair in accordance with constitutional legislation which limits Board members to no more than three three-year terms (9 years).
